Skivvy 9 is the nickname for the 6903rd Air Force Intelligence squadron once located at Osan Air Base in the People’s Republic of Korea (ROK). Since the cold war in the 50s, the United States has maintained a military presence in the ROK and Skivvy 9 became an integral unit providing intelligence information.
This web page is dedicated to the women and men who have served with Skivvy 9. Skivvy 9 is most well known as the 6903rd but over the years has been designated as a squadron, a group, and probably other titles as well. In any case and regardless of the current designation, veterans of the unit fondly refer to it as simply Skivvy 9.
Anyone who served or worked with Skivvy 9 in any capacity, and in any unit, can blog their names and stories. As time permits, I hope to move the stories to an organized archive available to anyone interested. If you have something to contribute – please feel free.
